From the Russian newspaper Pravda...

They "get it". Why don't we?

First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture, rather then the classics. Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas then the drama in DC that directly affects their lives. They care more for their "right" to choke down a McDonalds burger or a BurgerKing burger than for their constitutional rights. Then they turn around and lecture us about our rights and about our "democracy". Pride blind the foolish.

I read the article and started laughing out loud. We're being schooled on the evils of Marxism and socialism by folks that really got the whole ball rolling.

Did we get moved to some alternate universe or something?! ;-)

I have been reading Pravda for over a year now. Its kind of like reading the tabloids in the supermarket isle but you get information from them that won't get covered in the MSM's. I try to use them to balance the bulk of the information. There are three sides to every story; His, Hers, and the truth. I look at this the same way. Yes they may have been communists but they leaped on the Capitalist bandwagon quite quickly when given the options. They still have enclaves of socialist in power but I think this is like an infestation; you can keep it under control but never really get rid of it without burning the house down.

I agree on every point Diogenes. I just wanted to point out the irony of the former commies warning us about the evils of socialism.

Regarding "burning the house", I am ever more convinced that the evil of socialism is SO bad that extreme measures are warranted.

Here's what socialsm ultimately leads to:
