Many are puzzled that Democrats persist in ramming unpopular and destructive legislation down our collective throats with no apparent concern for their plummeting poll numbers. A widespread belief is that the Democrats are committing political suicide and will be swept from one or both houses of Congress with unprecedented electoral losses next November. But since Democrat politicians rarely do things that will not ultimately benefit themselves, this column asked two weeks ago, "What do they know that we don't?"

I dunno, there is a huge difference between something they THINK will benefit them and something that ultimately will. People think subjectively and that doesn't always mean their ideas are rational or realistic.
Guess we will just see what happens.
Since it is a rigged game, the criminals in the District just plain, don't give a damn about what you and I may think.

Not that I wouldn't LOVE to stop paying my taxes, yet I fail to see where that would hurt the collective. THEY have the printing presses. THEY have the "magic" Fed that can conjure cash from thin air.
