When I consider that Boston, the cradle of the American Revolution, lately cowered in fear before the ham-handed acts of terrorists who should have been named Abbot and Costello.

When I consider that on the anniversary of the Shot Heard Round The World, the children of the men who fired that shot now crouch and cravenly lick the hand of GOOBERment agents who did thousands of times more damage to Boston than the Chechen bozos did. 

When I consider the in-your-face evidence that the entire US Bill of Rights is now nothing more than propaganda to be taught to school children.

And as Mr. Denninger rightly points out, we are sending the message to the whole world that we are a nation of whimpering children who long for their Nanny.

 … I am deeply saddened. America is dead and gone, and my children and grandchildren have inherited, NOT freedom, but slavery. We The Pansies have ceded our most precious birthright … LIBERTY… for tawdry trinkets of illusory safety!

Why there will always be tyrants

I see in the news that Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez has left the earth for his appointment with Satan.  Only the willfully ignorant refuse to accept that the man was a tyrant.

I've read some of the comments being published by the propaganda ... err... the press, and one in particular caught my eye:

So long as there exists the view that government can serve the role of a father, there will be people who are content to be treated as children.   So long as there are people who crave their neighbor's substance, there will be the politician willing to take from Peter to give to Paul - at gunpoint if need be.

I have a strong stomach, but this assclown's tale (if it's to be believed) made me want to retch.  To be honest, I couldn't finish reading it.

Someone sent me this so I cannot take credit for it. But the pure simplicity and common sense of it appealed to me.

Lesson # 1:

* U.S. Tax revenue: $ 2,170,000,000,000
* Fed budget: $ 3,820,000,000,000
* New debt: $ 1,650,000,000,000
* National debt: $ 14,271,000,000,000
* Recent budget cuts: $ 38,500,000,000

Let's now remove 8 zeros and pretend it's a household budget:

* Annual family income: $ 21,700
* Money the family spent: $ 38,200
* New debt on the credit card: $ 16,500
* Outstanding balance on the credit card: $ 142,710
* Total budget cuts so far: $ 38.50

Got It ?????

OK now, Lesson # 2:

Here's another way to look at the Debt Ceiling: Let's say, You come home from work and find there has been a sewer backup in your neighbourhood....and your home has sewage all the way up to your ceilings.

What do you think you should do ...... Raise the ceilings, or remove the sh*t?

Some remarks made recently by NY Governor Cuomo:

Really?  Yet it would seem that MY opinion as a law-abiding gun owner isn't worth dog squat!

“I don’t think legitimate sportsmen are going to say, ‘I need an assault weapon to go hunting,’ ”

Just who made YOU an authority on the topic of 'legitimate sportsmen'?  There're excellent reasons besides hunting for owning any thing I damn well please!

- At the same time, he noted that he owns a shotgun that he has used for hunting -

Maybe his supposed ownership of a shotgun is what he thinks gives him to the right to dictate what Americans are allowed to own and not own.  Meanwhile I have no doubt he's followed around by well armed bodyguards so that HIS safety is never at issue!

Is this a bodyguard tagging along behind?  You reckon he's armed with something high-capacity?

“There is a balance here — I understand the rights of gun owners; I understand the rights of hunters.”

If you truly understood, you'd go do something more useful like balance your state's budget and leave guns alone.  By the way Guv.... you can stuff your 'balance' up your ass SIDEWAYS.

“Confiscation could be an option."

You think so huh?  And condemn some other mother's son to death to enforce your fascist will.

Ya know ... the way I see it, I am all caught up on my quota for 'mandatory' stuff. You can put 'mandatory' in the same place that you put 'balance'!

Observations of the debate

I was recently asked if I watched the debate.  My response to the lady was:

Oh I didn't watch it Miss Shirley. Even at my tender age of 51 I have learned that what politicians say is meaningless. And this is true of both parties and extends from Mayor up thru the President. These debates are nothing but dog and pony shows. Substance means little, truth means nothing, and image carries the day. Frankly I am nauseated by both candidates.

I hear that Obama was pitiful. But it won't matter. His sycophantic followers still worship him.

Nonetheless... the debate has made good grist for the humor mill as evidenced by this collection of tweets.

*This is a businessman, talking business, to a grad student. Obama should be taking notes and asking for an extension.

*Media coddled Captain Precious, and are now sad he got stomped. Sometimes beta males need to fight.

*Romney is killing it. Killing it. Seriously, this is a terrible wedding anniversary.

*Watching MSNBC discuss the debate is like watching the Titanic discuss the iceberg.

*Obama is rolling down a mountain like Homer Simpson hitting every rock along the way.

*I guess prepping with Joy Behar was a mistake.

*Obama is now like a Best Buy employee trying to sell you something he cannot fully explain.

If this performance had been from a republican candidate, the election would be decided right there.  As it is, Obama still has vote fraud to rely on.

The Marxist-in-Chief recently espoused the notion that small business owners owe government credit for everything they have built. 

I wonder if the Mighty Kenyan will be as quick to take credit for the government’s role in James Holmes building his weaponsand ammo stash?

What Boortz said

There much that comes out of the mouth of Neal Boortz that I stridently disagree with (abortion, Confederate Flag, gays, Christianity, etc.), but every now and then that guy nails it squarely on the head. Here’s his 4th of July rant, and he calls it – right on the money. Americans love security more than Liberty!

Tomorrow is known as Independence Day, not Dependence Day. This is a day we celebrate the Declaration of Independence … proclaiming our independence from Great Britain and the heavy-handed governance King George was inflicting on the colonies. Now we have durned near half of the voters in this country not only supporting, but celebrating another ruler (his words, not mine) who governs with every bit the heavy handedness of the British King we fought for liberty 236 year ago.


My beef with the 4th of July is that so many of the people who go to such great lengths to celebrate this holiday – perhaps even a majority – are much more tuned in to dependence rather than independence, and security rather than freedom. There’s a reason the word “security” beats “freedom” by a 9:1 margin in presidential speeches.
