My position on abortion

An excellent post over at Sipsey Street has gotten me thinking about trying to articulate my position on abortion.

“Choice” is what a woman has before she chooses to lie down and spread her legs. I don’t accept the argument about rape or incest justifying abortion for the simple reason that the child should not be held accountable for the adult’s actions. There are legions of people willing to adopt, so let the child have its chance at life.

I believe that life begins at conception. It matters not to me whether that little embryo isn’t viable outside of the womb. What matters is that it’s alive.

People of this age have raised selfishness to a high art, and have used personal convenience to justify the killing of unborn children. Sex, although fun, is functionally for the purpose of reproduction. So wear a condom, take birth control pills…whatever! But in the event of “failure” the recourse should not be embryonic infanticide.

So-called doctors who took the Hippocratic oath must surely be doing some real mental gymnastics in order to justify to killing of a child. Legally I believe that physicians should face loss of their license for performing abortions. Woman who seek abortions should face social stigma – nothing more. Government should stay out of the entire affair. Roe V. Wade should be repealed and all laws pertaining to abortions be declared null and void. And then, if a woman takes it upon herself to risk her life in order to be rid of the child she conceived, then the risk is hers and hers alone.

It is my understanding that there have been 40,000,000 abortions performed in this country since 1974. That is a hideous crime against humanity in my view. I believe there is an Almighty God that holds both individuals and nations accountable for their conduct. No one can convince me otherwise.

It’s common for the God-haters out there to point out the OT passages where God commanded the Israelites to utterly destroy the Canaanites, and they use that as justification to say that God is not a loving God. Very few of those same people have taken the time to learn WHY God levied such a terrible judgment on the inhabitants of Canaan. The answer is simple. They had a nasty habit of slaughtering their children as sacrifices to the gods, Baal or Molech. In the case of Molech, they had a bronze statue with the body of a man and the head of a beast, and in its hands it held a bronze bowl. A fire would be built underneath the bowl and it allowed to heat until it glowed red hot. Then the child would be dropped naked into that red hot metal bowl.

It is too horrible to contemplate.

But is it any more hideous than invading the womb with a suction device, and then sucking out the broken pieces of what was intended to be a human child?

All I can say is: May God forgive this nation for its wickedness.

You scare me!

AN OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT OBAMA

Dear President Obama:

You are the thirteenth President under whom I have lived and unlike any of the others, you truly scare me.

You scare me because after months of exposure, I know nothing about you.

You scare me because I do not know how you paid for your expensive Ivy League education and your upscale lifestyle and housing with no visible signs of support.

You scare me because you did not spend the formative years of youth growing up in America and culturally you are not an American.

You scare me because you have never run a company or met a payroll.

You scare me because you have never had military experience, thus don't understand it at its core.

You scare me because you lack humility and 'class', always blaming others.

You scare me because for over half your life you have aligned yourself with radical extremists who hate America and you refuse to publicly denounce these radicals who wish to see America fail.

You scare me because you are a cheerleader for the 'blame America' crowd and deliver this message abroad.

You scare me because you want to change America to a European style country where the government sector dominates instead of the private sector.

You scare me because you want to replace our health care system with a government controlled one.

You scare me because you prefer 'wind mills' to responsibly capitalizing on our own vast oil, coal and shale reserves.

You scare me because you want to kill the American capitalist goose that lays the golden egg which provides the highest standard of living in the world.

You scare me because you have begun to use 'extortion' tactics against certain banks and corporations.

You scare me because your own political party shrinks from challenging you on your wild and irresponsible spending proposals.

You scare me because you will not openly listen to or even consider opposing points of view from intelligent people.

You scare me because you falsely believe that you are both omnipotent and omniscient.

You scare me because the media gives you a free pass on everything you do.

You scare me because you demonize and want to silence the Limbaughs, Hannitys, O'Relllys and Becks who offer opposing, conservative points of view.

You scare me because you prefer controlling over governing.

Finally, you scare me because if you serve a second term I will probably not feel safe in writing a similar letter in 8 years.

We have three basics economic classifications in this country. Producers, moochers and looters. The moochers are licking their chops, the looters are putting on their ski masks and the producers are looking for cover.

Update to Trooper vs. Ambulance Driver

Remember the case of the ambulance driver being assaulted by Oklahoma state troopers because he didn't yield to them in traffic? I mean, after all...he WAS carrying a heart attack victim to the hospital.

Well...as expected, there'll be no charges filed against the troopers.

How typical!

A drill down into PrezBo's recent Arab ass-kiss festival in Cairo

Included in our pretend president’s speech in Cairo was this little snippet of ingratiation:

“Muslims have enriched the U.S. and have won Nobel prizes.”

Given that much of PrezBo’s theme revolved around trying to equate the Arabs and Jews with one another, it’s only fair then to examine closely the above bit of nonsense.

The Global Islamic population is approximately 1,200,000,000, or 20% of the world population. They received the following Nobel Prizes:

Oops! Kung Fu found dead from kinky sex act

I see where David Carradine was found dead this week. I always enjoyed the old TV show Kung Fu. But unlike many Americans, I have resisted the tendency to deify various celebrities.

My wife and I were discussing this phenomenon in a conversation about Princess Diana recently, and I noted the frequency with which she said she liked this one, or disliked that one. I pointed out that the person you THINK you know is seldom the real person. After all, in the case of actors, you the fan only have exposure to the person’s assumed identity in the various characters they’ve played. So it’s really pointless to glom onto some celebrity and decide that you like them. YOU DON’T KNOW THEM!

Americans have really gone over the edge where celebrities are concerned. Do a Google search on Paris Hilton and Patrick Henry; then note the vast difference in the number of hits. Celebrity worship (and professional sports) serves as a major distraction from issues of serious consequence. Huge numbers of Americans know the intricate details of their favorite movie star’s life, and at the same time are totally ignorant of what their congressman is up to – or even who their congressman is!

As this all relates to David Carradine, it’s interesting to note he was found with a rope around his neck AND the other end tied to his pecker. I guess it’s safe to assume that he came and went at the same time. He, like so many people, had a fascination with his genitalia; and it turned out to be a fatal fascination at that!

Not that I wish ill upon the man – don’t misinterpret this comment: But this kind of incident serves to show that celebrities are human too. Not that it will in any way diminish the star worshiper’s overall fervor. People will continue to put these “stars” on a pedestal, and stars will continue to fall off that pedestal and bust their ass.

Good Night Grasshopper. I hope it was worth it.

Practice

I am more and more convinced that the little bit of freedom remaining in this country is going to be snuffed out. Listening to his royal highness, King Obama, give his speech to the Egyptians I was hearing a leader who is ready to kiss the backside of ANYBODY out there, except white Christian conservatives. American sovereignty is seriously endangered. The entire Constitution is being ignored at best, or even treated as a joke. All it's going to take is some UN treaty that mandates civilian disarmament (for the children!) and the Obama camp will leap to sign it!

Ammo is expensive and it's NOT going to get any cheaper. Time is running out. In my humble opinion you need to make an effort to ensure that you know how to use those guns you've got stashed away. There may come a time in the very near future when firing a gun will become very difficult.
