Today's must read essay by Bob Hall

Bob Hall’s essay is entitled Seven Rules for Progressives, and in one short missive, he has encapsulated and articulated all that’s wrong with liberalism.

Perfect example: Mr. Hall points out that Rachael Carson’s grave ought to be topped with a pile of African skulls. Her book Silent Spring led to the worldwide banning on DDT; all based on junk science, all wrong, and with the result that malaria and other mosquito-born diseases are responsible for scores of millions of deaths in the Third-World, all due to one liberal author’s wrongheaded view of pesticides!

Have any liberal friends that you respect for their sincerity? Just keep in mind that being sincerely wrong, is still merely wrong!

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." - CS Lewis
