Thune amendment defeated

There was a vote before the senate yesterday on national firearms reciprocity. If it had passed it would have allowed any person holding a concealed weapons permit to take their firearm to ANY state in the union that had a CWP provision in their laws. Illinois and Wisconsin, having NO sort of provision for armed private citizens, would have still been off limits.

Now I am basically against EVERY gun law on the books anywhere! I believe that the second amendment's use of the phrase "shall not be infringed" is pretty damn clear, so asking for permission from ANY Gubment agency pisses me off right from the get go.

But given our situation of having to beg for mere scraps of rights from Leviathan's table, I would have liked to see this pass.

It didn't.

And the reason it didn't was because two republican senators voted against it! GEE THANKS
