How long before Gubmint just stops elections altogether?

Justice Dept. concludes black voters need Democratic Party

U.S. blocks N.C. city's nonpartisan vote

KINSTON, N.C. Voters in this small city decided overwhelmingly last year to do away with the party affiliation of candidates in local elections, but the Obama administration recently overruled the electorate and decided that equal rights for black voters cannot be achieved without the Democratic Party.

The Justice Department's ruling, which affects races for City Council and mayor, went so far as to say partisan elections are needed so that black voters can elect their "candidates of choice" - identified by the department as those who are Democrats and almost exclusively black.

The department ruled that white voters in Kinston will vote for blacks only if they are Democrats and that therefore the city cannot get rid of party affiliations for local elections because that would violate black voters' right to elect the candidates they want.

GunRights4US - Now read that last sentence above very slowly and carefully. Once your head stops spinning around you can read the whole article here.

In my opinion, there is almost no Gubmint action more heinous and unconstitutional than the direct reversal of the expressed will of the voters. Yet it's happening more and more these days. Here's a perfect example of an unelected Gubmint chair-warmer who simply overrules the Will of The People.

What is it going to take for Americans to rise up and fight this crap?

Shit like this hurts my head. Seven of 9 predominantly black districts voted to have non-affiliated elections. Yet the DOJ pronounces that they are not smart enough to know what they're doing. Nanny Knows Best.

If I were black and living in that town, I'd be going nuclear. And that NAACP puke that was quoted seems to agree with the DOJ. Non-partisan elections are, "misconceived and deceiving".

I would love to see all elections be non-partisan AND to not allow incumbents to show that as their title. Make them work for re-election.

It would force people to actually learn about the candidates and their positions, instead of just getting a rubber stamp because of affiliations.

If I was black, I would loathe the NAACP, Democrat party, race hucksters, and pretty much all guilt tripped liberals.

My thought towards those folks would be "You think I need help cause I'm black? Well kiss my black ass then!!!"

Don't show any parochiality..

That's a pretty cryptic comment.

Lest I be accused of putting words in your mouth, maybe you'd like to elaborate.

So we've been having nonpartisan local elections for quite awhile, here in Anchorage. How long before Uncle Nanny tells us to stop?

Rev. Paul, didn't you get the memo? The current administration could not care less about your state sir.
