Why I am NOT a member of the NRA

This lady makes the case far better than I ever could!

"It's better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness."

I don't agree with everything the NRA does by a long shot, but we'd be gunless without them. Primarily, their chief contribution is an ability to organize gun owners into a voting block. D.C. doesn't care a damn about individuals, or how many letters you write to politicians, but they care about big voting blocks. Had the NRA not kept West Virginia in the Republican camp Gore would have been President. Nothing in this world is perfect.

Absolutely a great article. She has done a wonderful job listing all of the traitorous acts that the NRA has been involved in.

How can I say traitorous?

James Madison said, "Anything, that is repugnant to the Constitution, IS
un-Constitutional".

That statement in itself declares them to be traitors.

It is really a sad state of affairs, that people like "The Hermit", can be so deceived, with the light of the facts shining so brightly.

To hell with the NRA. I only support GOA and JPFO.

Current NRA practice is to endorse less than steller candidates with an A or A- rating.

Past NRA practice includes helping to draft ANTI-gun legislation like the CGA of 1968.

I think I'll stick with the GOA and the JFPO. If everyone would stop supporting the NRA, just cause they're the biggest, then maybe we could get a genuine no-compromise pro-gun lobby pumped up and effective.

Idahobob. The fact that I don't agree with you doesn't necessarily mean you are more perceptive than I am. It just means we don't agree.
