Hassled by TSA - over carrying cash!

...in an email I got from the Ron Paul organization:

April 6, 2009

Dear Friend of Liberty,

Campaign for Liberty’s very own Steve Bierfeldt has become an unexpected Internet sensation -- and the latest target of over-reaching federal government agents.

You see, Steve was detained by Airport Police and TSA officials shortly after the Campaign for Liberty regional conference in St. Louis.

The officials rudely berated and harassed Steve for 30 minutes in a secluded room at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport. Fortunately, Steve was able to record nearly all of the interrogation with his cell phone.

Steve’s alleged “crime”? Carrying $4,700 in checks and cash from Campaign for Liberty, along with various other materials from our conference.

The local and Federal agents harassed Steve. They were belligerent, cursing and using insulting language. They threatened to turn Steve over to the DEA and the FBI, all the while refusing to inform him of his legal rights or explain how cash and checks threatened airplane or airport security.

Throughout the interrogation, Steve remained polite but resolute and declined to answer the invasive questions without an adequate explanation from these federal and local agents as to why they needed to be answered. Without telling Steve what law he was accused of breaking, they continued their harassment.

Although they grew increasingly frustrated that he remained committed to exercising his rights, intervention from another officer eventually led the police to reluctantly release Steve.

Last Wednesday, Steve appeared on Judge Napolitano’s Freedom Watch to discuss the flagrant violation of his rights and to promote the importance of each of us defending our civil liberties.

Gee! I wonder if they were wearing leather overcoats, fedora hats and sporting swastikas on their sleeves!

YOU may think being turned into cattle at an airport is justified.

I don't!

Keep in mind this young patriot is merely demanding an answer to a question of clarification of his rights! And for this he is treated like a dog!

I think this is a DELIBERATE conditioning of the American people ...being done in preparation of further degradations of our Liberty.

Hmmmmm..... the TSA again.

I watched the interview the other day. As usual, it helped re-enforce my determination NOT to fly the "friendly" skies.

Ever since the TSA has taken over "security", their mindless violations of the individual has been on a steady increase.

As for conditioning the public: first it started with the mindless maze you are subjected to before "showing your papers". Then everyone must remove their shoes.
empty your pockets so that everything, including your person, will be scanned. Now the damned scanners virtually remove all of your clothing, for the perverted troglodytes to view and drool over.
These thugs seem to think that they are the ultimate authority that must be obeyed, verbatim. no mater what. Reminds me of the people that are supposed to "serve and protect", and they seem to have lost the vision of their true mission.

As with All of the goobermint agencies, they think that they are the ultimate bosses, and we are the serfs.

As I have been warning people for years, we are becoming Nazi Germany, 1936-1938. Unfortunately, we are no longer becoming, we is there.

Keep yer powder dry and watch yer 6.

They went easy on him! The TSA and any other jack-booted thugs have no qualms about lying right to your face about what your rights are, what they're going to do to you if you don't comply, and what you did in the court room after they violate your rights!

They could have just as easily said yes you are required by law. Then what? He, the petty citizen is unarmed and therefore under their authority. The unarmed man is a slave - notice how he had no choice about going with them to the station?
