Case A - The Pervert millionaire teacher
A Queens teacher who collects a $100,000 salary for doing nothing spends time in a Department of Education "rubber room" working on his law practice and managing 12 real-estate properties worth an estimated $7.8 million. Alan Rosenfeld hasn't set foot in a classroom for nearly a decade since he was accused in 2001 of making lewd comments to junior-high girls and "staring at their butts," yet the department still pays him handsomely for sitting on his own butt seven hours a day.
Case B - US History begins in 1877 for NC students now
He may be the president who governed during the Civil War, freeing the slaves, but under a new curriculum proposal for North Carolina high schools, U.S. history would begin years after President Lincoln, with the presidency of Rutherford B. Hayes in 1877. State education leaders say this may help students learn about more recent history in greater depth.
Case C - Ohio Teacher recruiting students for Obama
An Ohio high school teacher's giving students job applications for a Democratic organization that included suggested radical reading material has raising concerns of indoctrination in the classroom. The government teacher at Perry High School in Massillon, Ohio, handed out forms recruiting students to intern for Organizing for America, a grassroots organization with direct ties to the Democratic National Committee and the successor organization for Obama for America. Included on the forms was a suggested reading list that included Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals" and Organizing for America's mission to build on the "movement that elected President Obama by empowering students across the country to help us bring about our agenda of change."

A and C don't surprise me at all. It's what I expect from our public educational system. Waste money and push an agenda.
Item B caught me by surprise. I guess it shouldn't have. Don't educate our kids on WHY we became a country, and they will have no frame of reference for questioning what is happening now.
It's a brilliant tactic, and will probably be successful unless the folks of NC pitch a fit.
On Case B, There is a semi logical explanation to this one. Basically schools can not teach every part of history because well there is a lot of it. Without cutting something else (unlikely since the 3R's are hurting) there is only so much that can be taught. Arbitrary cutoffs are a fact of life.
We had a course in State history and a 'current events' class that started at like 1965.
Am I wrong to believe that we have long past the point in time where pitching a fit will grab the attention and respect of all the leftest bastards running roughshod over this country, and our very lives?
Is it any surprise that the governor of North Carolina is a democrat AND a teacher? She knows how to push agendas at the most susceptible levels.
That, and they don't really educate your kids for anything other than taking test - which are impossible to fail thanks to No Child Left Behind.

Don't you know that the Constitution and the Founding Fathers ain't 'relevant' any more. They're just old, dead, white men and their struggles mean nothing to us. The very idea that men of integrity should rise up and take their liberty into their own hands is anti-O and not Hopey-Changey at all. If you continue to not toe the party line, you will be reeducated.
I'd like to see someone TRY to re-educate me or my kids!
