Little fella's ruined for life now

Last Saturday this nine year-old killed this excellent buck with a single shot at 260 yards in Jones county Georgia.  I feel plumb sorry for him.  He'll chase that feat for the rest of his life. (I'm also envious!)

I wonder how many (if any) of the men I encounter at work every day could make such a shot.  Americans were once known for their marksmanship skills.

I'll wager most of your friends tree-stand hunt. They've not shot further than 50 yards in years, if ever.

Remember, we fired all the time out to 500 yards in the Marines. I know there's virtually no place in North Florida to shoot over about 100 yards. But if you zero the sights at 200 (by checking the ballistics charts for POI) you can shoot at 100 and allow for the different impact point.

That is awesome. I guess next year he'll have to go after elk! Last year my 8 year old niece got her first deer on doe day. Ambushed a decent sized doe with her 22 Hornet.
