It's simply high way robbery. My father worked all his life paying taxes on everything and when he died, we had to pay taxes on everything that he had paid taxes on and anything that I leave that my father and I have already paid taxes on, the kids will have to pay taxes again. Pure theft, no ifs ands or buts.
it doesn't make the situation any less despicable.... but most farms and small businesses could work around this by legal maneuver. e.g. incorporating, LLC, or trust.
Friend`s , you don`t " Own " anything in this place . If you are one of those few who ever manage to pay off a 30 or 40 year mortgage or if you inherit property , you need to get your Deed out and take another look at it . YOU ! are listed as " Trustee ". Refuse to give Shylock his pound of flesh this year , and see what you " Own ! ".
