But that was before I read her comments about "all of the white trash, hillbilly, anti-gay, super bible-beating people in Middle America".
I tell ya ... lately, I have developed a real kiss-my-ass attitude where Hollyweird is concerned! They're not getting a nickle of MY money.
OBAMA MORE THAN 'CONCERNED'
By Neal Boortz @ June 30, 2009 8:11 AM
North Korea launches a missile and it takes Barack Obama and the UN five days to respond. Iran holds fraudulent elections, kills protesters and it takes weeks before Barack Obama can stand up and say that he is "concerned" about the situation.
Then the people of Honduras try to uphold their constitution and laws of the land from being trampled by a Chavez-wanna be ... and it takes Barack Obama one day to proclaim that this was not a legal coup.
Why the sudden decisiveness? Where were these strong opinions on foreign matters when Iranian authorities were trampling protestors and cutting off media access to the outside world? Where was this decisiveness when Kim Jong Ill decided that he was going to launch missiles toward Hawaii on the Fourth of July? Why ... NOW ... is Obama suddenly speaking out loudly
How about a little background. Are you really sure you know what has been going on in Honduras? Do you think that this was simply a coup? Let me give you a rough outline here, and then you can sit back and wonder just why PrezBO is in the weeds with Chavez and Castro on this one.
Mel Zelaya is, or was, the President of Honduras. He and Hugo Chaves were tight. So tight, it seems, that Zelaya wanted to emulate Hugo by changing the Honduran constitution to allow him to run for office until he durned well gets tired of it.
To change the constitution in Honduras you have to convene a constituent assembly. The president cannot do that. The Honduran congress must approve a national referendum calling for the constituent assembly to consider changes to the constitution. Zelaya didn't like the part about the constitution requiring approval of the congress before a national referendum could be called. So ... he decided to call one on his own.
OK .. so here we have President Zelaya calling for a national referendum when he doesn't have the power to do so. The next problem is obtaining ballots! Since the Honduran congress had not called for the referendum, as required by the constitution, the government certainly wasn't going to print the ballots! After all, how smart would it be to print ballots for an illegal referendum?
So ... Zelaya had to get the ballots printed elsewhere. Here's an idea! Get his pal Hugo Chavez to print them! Yes! That will work!
So Chavez prints Zelaya's ballots and they're shipped to Honduras. Enter the Honduran Supreme Court. The court considers Zelaya's election in light of the requirements of the Honduran constitution, and rules the referendum illegal and unconstitutional. The court then issues an order to the Honduran military telling them not to do the logistical work associated with Zelaya's phony referendum. Remember, now ... all of this has one primary goal. To get rid of the term limits limiting Zelaya's rule in Honduras.
After the supreme court's decision, General Romeo Velasquez tells President Zelaya that he is subject to a proper order from the Supreme Court and will not be able to carry out Zelaya's referendum. So ... Zelaya fires him. The Supreme Court orders Zelaya to reinstate Velasquez, and Zelaya refuses to do so.
At this point Zelaya's ego is getting the better of him. If the military won't run his illegal referendum, he'll just do it himself. He gins up a mob and leads them to the military compound where Hugo's ballots are stored and then has his supporters begin distributing the ballots to the masses.
Based on the Supreme Court's ruling the Honduran attorney general said that the proposed referendum was illegal and said that he would arrest anyone attempting to carry out the election. Zelaya was arrested by the military and was escorted out of the country.
Now ... does this sound like a military coup-de-etat to you? The attorney general and the military were operating in accordance with the Honduran rule of law. They acted under a valid court order. Coup? The Honduran congress has convened and designated a successor president, all in accordance with the Honduran Constitution. Military coup? The presidential elections set for November .. the election that Zelaya was trying to get around ... will go on as scheduled. A blow for democracy?
Fidel Castro, Daniel Noriega, Hugo Chavez ... all on the side of Zelaya. But Obama? Obama fighting against the rule of law and for a wannabe dictator? What gives?
The archers carried stout yew bows that had a draw weight of about one hundred and thirty pounds. The bows could propel a steel blade that penetrated all but the finest of armor.
The French knights charged forward only to be caught in a slippery quagmire of mud. Henry's archers fired lethal storms of arrows into a dense mass of humanity until the French began to retreat.
In a matter of about ten minutes, the archers had struck the French with a cumulative total of about sixty thousand arrows.
The archers then dropped their bows, picked up what weapons they could find and joined the English knights in slaying their foe. The setting sun left a battlefield heaped with the bodies of thousands of French knights and the cream of France's ruling class. The English had dealt their enemy a disastrous blow.
Historical lore has it that the French threatened to cut off the middle fingers of English archers so they couldn’t draw their bows. After their victory, the archers waved their middle fingers in defiance. Inspired by the feathers on their arrows, they called the gesture “the bird.”
Not only that, but they also shouted, “Pluck yew!” since they could still “pluck” their yew-wood bows. Over the years people came to think of the middle finger as obscene rather than a sign of military defiance.
On September 19th, 2008 in Ramadi, Iraqi, two enemies faced one another. Gunnery Sgt Michael Burghardt was on his third tour in Iraq. He was a legend in the bomb disposal world after winning the Bronze Star for disabling 64 IEDs and destroying 1,548 pieces of ordinance during his second tour.
His story was reported in the Omaha, Herald and sent to me by a correspondent. The parallels were too interesting to pass up, so I relay the story as reported in the newspaper.
Responding to a cry for help, the Gunny arrived at a chaotic scene after a bomb had killed four US soldiers. He chose not to wear a bulky bomb protection suit. 'You can't react to any sniper fire and you get tunnel-vision,' he explains. So, protected by just a helmet and standard-issue flak jacket, he began what bomb disposal officers term 'the longest walk', stepping gingerly into a 5 foot deep and 8 foot wide crater.
The earth shifted slightly and he saw a Senao base station with a wire leading from it .He cut the wire and used his 7 inch knife to probe the ground. 'I found a piece of red detonating cord between my legs,' he says. 'That's when I knew I was screwed.'
Realizing he had been sucked into a trap, he yelled at everyone to stay back. At that moment an insurgent, probably watching through binoculars, pressed a button on his mobile phone to detonate the secondary device. 'A chill went up the back of my neck and then the bomb exploded,' he recalls. 'As I was in the air I remember thinking, 'I don't believe they got me.' I was just ticked off they were able to do it. Then I was lying on the road, not able to feel anything from the waist down.'
His colleagues cut off his trousers to see how badly he was hurt. None could believe his legs were still there. 'My dad's a Vietnam vet who's paralyzed from the waist down,' says Burghardt. 'I was lying there thinking I didn't want to be in a wheelchair next to my dad and for him to see me like that. They started to cut away my pants and I felt a real sharp pain and blood trickling down. Then I wiggled my toes and I thought, 'Good, I'm in business.' As a stretcher was brought over, adrenaline and anger kicked in. I decided to walk to the helicopter. I wasn't going to let my team-mates see me being carried away on a stretcher.'
He stood and gave the insurgents who had blown him up a one-finger salute. I flipped them one. It was like, 'OK, I lost that round but I'll be back next week'.'
The Gunny’s injuries - burns and wounds to his legs and buttocks - kept him off duty for nearly a month and could have earned him a ticket home. But, like his father, who was awarded a Bronze Star and three Purple Hearts for being wounded in action in Vietnam, he stayed in Ramadi to engage in the battle.
With Thanks to LtCol Jim Messer for allowing me to reprint this story.
He is opposed by the Honduran Supreme Court.
He tells his own Supreme Court to pound sand and proceeds with his plan regarding changing the Honduran constitution in a manner that is NOT allowed by that same constitution.
The Honduran SC orders the Honduran military to arrest the president, which they do in a bloodless coup. He’s put on a plane and exiled from the country.
The US government decides that “democracy” is more important than the rule of law, and they support the deposed president and refuse to recognize the new Honduran government.
Is anyone surprised? Clearly their socialist tendencies are revealed in their complete disdain for the rule of law. After all…that’s the same approach they’re taking here at home. Once you “please” the 51% that supports you, you can oppress the other 49% at will. And the only thing that gets in the way is that pesky constitution thing!
For the record, Obama and Hugo Chavez are in complete agreement on this situtation.
America is poised to enter a dark age of socialist tyranny, and anyone that doesn’t see that is an ignorant fool!
This fool is lucky to be alive! The sure don't make revolutionaries like they used to!
and my paycheck will be the same.
Farrah Fawcett is dead
and American troops are still facing death in Iraq and Afghanistan
Meanwhile, our Imperial Rulers are involved in a vote on Cap & Tax that if passed WILL bring a reduction in everyone’s standard of living, and serve to weaken America even further.
But how many Americans even know that? How many care?
…and the world goes on.
Access to Google has been disrupted in some parts of China, amid a row over what Chinese citizens should be allowed to view over the internet.
Users reported they could not access either Google's search engine or its Chinese-language version.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang accused Google of spreading pornography and breaking Chinese law.
The move came as the US called on China to scrap its plan to put net-filtering software on all new computers. China has demanded that all computers come supplied with software called Green Dam Youth Escort from 1 July, which it says would filter out pornographic content.
Separately, google.com and some of its products, such as its mail service, were not available in China from Wednesday night to Thursday morning Beijing time, according to Chinese portal Sohu.com.

WASHINGTON (AFP) – The United States said it has rescinded invitations to Iranian diplomats to attend July 4 parties at US embassies, following the violent suppression of protests in Iran.
"Unfortunately, circumstances have changed, and participation by Iranian diplomats would not be appropriate in light of the unjust actions that the president and I have condemned," Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said in a cable to US diplomatic mission abroad.
Early this month, before Iran's disputed June 12 presidential elections, Clinton had sent US diplomats instructions to invite Iranians to the Independence Day celebrations in a bit of "hot dog" diplomacy aimed at engaging Tehran.
But the administration has been heavily criticized for not acting decisively enough in condemning the Iranian regime in the wake of a bloody crackdown on anti-government protests.
The State Department said the new cable sent out under Clinton's name directed the diplomatic missions "to rescind all invitations that have been extended to Iranian diplomats for July 4th events."
Can you believe this? This is how the Obama administration deals with one of the most hideous terrorist states in the world! Hot Dogs!
THESE FOOLS ARE EMBARRASSING THE UNITED STATES!!!!!
I was talking to a co-worker who told that someone in his family had recently toured the White House. Apparently there are “hundreds” of Obama photos hanging on the walls that are frequently rotated out and sold!
Has anyone heard of this? I went to the WH website and could find nothing on it.

Ten Reasons Why Reparations for Blacks is a Bad Idea for Blacks - and Racist Too
By: David Horowitz
FrontPageMagazine.com Wednesday, January 03, 2001
There Is No Single Group Clearly Responsible For The Crime Of Slavery
Black Africans and Arabs were responsible for enslaving the ancestors of African-Americans. There were 3,000 black slave-owners in the ante-bellum United States. Are reparations to be paid by their descendants too?
There Is No One Group That Benefited Exclusively From Its Fruits
The claim for reparations is premised on the false assumption that only whites have benefited from slavery. If slave labor created wealth for Americans, then obviously it has created wealth for black Americans as well, including the descendants of slaves. The GNP of black America is so large that it makes the African-American community the 10th most prosperous "nation" in the world. American blacks on average enjoy per capita incomes in the range of twenty to fifty times that of blacks living in any of the African nations from which they were kidnapped.
Only A Tiny Minority Of White Americans Ever Owned Slaves, And Others Gave Their Lives To Free Them
Only a tiny minority of Americans ever owned slaves. This is true even for those who lived in the ante-bellum South where only one white in five was a slaveholder. Why should their descendants owe a debt? What about the descendants of the 350,000 Union soldiers who died to free the slaves? They gave their lives. What possible moral principle would ask them to pay (through their descendants) again?
America Today Is A Multi-Ethnic Nation and Most Americans Have No Connection (Direct Or Indirect) To Slavery
The two great waves of American immigration occurred after 1880 and then after 1960. What rationale would require Vietnamese boat people, Russian refuseniks, Iranian refugees, and Armenian victims of the Turkish persecution, Jews, Mexicans Greeks, or Polish, Hungarian, Cambodian and Korean victims of Communism, to pay reparations to American blacks?
The Historical Precedents Used To Justify The Reparations Claim Do Not Apply, And The Claim Itself Is Based On Race Not Injury
The historical precedents generally invoked to justify the reparations claim are payments to Jewish survivors of the Holocaust, Japanese-Americans and African- American victims of racial experiments in Tuskegee, or racial outrages in Rosewood and Oklahoma City. But in each case, the recipients of reparations were the direct victims of the injustice or their immediate families. This would be the only case of reparations to people who were not immediately affected and whose sole qualification to receive reparations would be racial. As has already been pointed out, during the slavery era, many blacks were free men or slave-owners themselves, yet the reparations claimants make no distinction between the roles blacks actually played in the injustice itself. Randall Robinson's book on reparations, The Debt, which is the manifesto of the reparations movement is pointedly sub-titled "What America Owes To Blacks." If this is not racism, what is?
The Reparations Argument Is Based On The Unfounded Claim That All African-American Descendants of Slaves Suffer From The Economic Consequences Of Slavery And Discrimination
No evidence-based attempt has been made to prove that living individuals have been adversely affected by a slave system that was ended over 150 years ago. But there is plenty of evidence the hardships that occurred were hardships that individuals could and did overcome. The black middle-class in America is a prosperous community that is now larger in absolute terms than the black underclass. Does its existence not suggest that economic adversity is the result of failures of individual character rather than the lingering after-effects of racial discrimination and a slave system that ceased to exist well over a century ago? West Indian blacks in America are also descended from slaves but their average incomes are equivalent to the average incomes of whites ( and nearly 25% higher than the average incomes of American born blacks). How is it that slavery adversely affected one large group of descendants but not the other? How can government be expected to decide an issue that is so subjective - and yet so critical - to the case?
The Reparations Claim Is One More Attempt To Turn African-Americans Into Victims. It Sends A Damaging Message To The African-American Community.
The renewed sense of grievance -- which is what the claim for reparations will inevitably create -- is neither a constructive nor a helpful message for black leaders to be sending to their communities and to others. To focus the social passions of African-Americans on what some Americans may have done to their ancestors fifty or a hundred and fifty years ago is to burden them with a crippling sense of victim-hood. How are the millions of refugees from tyranny and genocide who are now living in America going to receive these claims, moreover, except as demands for special treatment, an extravagant new handout that is only necessary because some blacks can't seem to locate the ladder of opportunity within reach of others -- many less privileged than themselves?
Reparations To African Americans Have Already Been Paid
Since the passage of the Civil Rights Acts and the advent of the Great Society in 1965, trillions of dollars in transfer payments have been made to African-Americans in the form of welfare benefits and racial preferences (in contracts, job placements and educational admissions) - all under the rationale of redressing historic racial grievances. It is said that reparations are necessary to achieve a healing between African-Americans and other Americans. If trillion dollar restitutions and a wholesale rewriting of American law (in order to accommodate racial preferences) for African-Americans is not enough to achieve a "healing," what will?
What About The Debt Blacks Owe To America?
Slavery existed for thousands of years before the Atlantic slave trade was born, and in all societies. But in the thousand years of its existence, there never was an anti-slavery movement until white Christians - Englishmen and Americans -- created one. If not for the anti-slavery attitudes and military power of white Englishmen and Americans, the slave trade would not have been brought to an end. If not for the sacrifices of white soldiers and a white American president who gave his life to sign the Emancipation Proclamation, blacks in America would still be slaves. If not for the dedication of Americans of all ethnicities and colors to a society based on the principle that all men are created equal, blacks in America would not enjoy the highest standard of living of blacks anywhere in the world, and indeed one of the highest standards of living of any people in the world. They would not enjoy the greatest freedoms and the most thoroughly protected individual rights anywhere. Where is the gratitude of black America and its leaders for those gifts?
The Reparations Claim Is A Separatist Idea That Sets African-Americans Against The Nation That Gave Them Freedom
Blacks were here before the Mayflower. Who is more American than the descendants of African slaves? For the African-American community to isolate itself even further from America is to embark on a course whose implications are troubling. Yet the African-American community has had a long-running flirtation with separatists, nationalists and the political left, who want African-Americans to be no part of America's social contract. African Americans should reject this temptation.
For all America's faults, African-Americans have an enormous stake in their country and its heritage. It is this heritage that is really under attack by the reparations movement. The reparations claim is one more assault on America, conducted by racial separatists and the political left. It is an attack not only on white Americans, but on all Americans -- especially African-Americans.
America's African-American citizens are the richest and most privileged black people alive -- a bounty that is a direct result of the heritage that is under assault. The American idea needs the support of its African-American citizens. But African-Americans also need the support of the American idea. For it is this idea that led to the principles and institutions that have set African-Americans - and all of us -- free.
- Isn’t it amazing that French Prime Minister Sarkozy, was willing to go on record as being in support of the Iranian people? It’s pretty enlightening that the perennially wussified French are making noise in support of Freedom, while the leader of the Land of the Free and Home of the Brave has been completely non-committal on that front.
- The current regime in Iran has been virulently anti-US since its revolutionary birth (in the courtyard of the US Embassy) back in 1979. We "owe" these bastards a debt of honor in my opinion. The very least we can do is show some verbal support for the Iranian people who are putting their asses on the line to resist a tyrannical government.
- We as Americans should be ashamed. The Iranians, with no history of personal liberty, no bill of rights, and very little private gun ownership, are taking to the streets in response to the perception that an election was rigged. Here in the US, we are being systematically robbed by our government, our constitution is being trampled, our rights are being stripped, and the onset of despotism may well be at hand. Yet the only recent case of crowds in the streets we seem to have mustered is this.
- No matter what course of action (or inaction) Obama chooses, there is one thing he can count on. The full, unmitigated support of the lapdog lame-stream press. They're going to find any way possible to spin this so their boy looks good; and they're not above a few "But Bush..." references either!

And here is her personal blog. It's down for maintenance right now however.
Go read the article by Karen DeCoster. It's quite interesting.
I grew up in a neighborhood devoid of other children. My only brother, 19 years my senior, was gone from the home by the time of my birth. My folks, having me very late in their lives, lived in a row of rural homes that were inhabited almost exclusively by late middle-agers and elderly, whose own children had long before grown - and gone. So hopefully it’s made clearer to the reader why my best friend as a boy was a man my father’s age.
Robert F. Wheeler moved next door when I was four years old. The family that moved away had been close to us, and the “new” arrivals were initially viewed from a reserved perspective. But they were good people that became the epitome of what neighbors are supposed to be. Unlocked doors, unannounced visits, perpetually opened gates, countless shared meals, and shared life experiences characterized the relationship between our two families.
And while later the close relationship was retained among the subsequent generations, the original fulcrum of the neighborliness was, I believe, the friendship that existed between me and Mr. Wheeler.
He fought in the pacific campaign of WWII with the 1st Cavalry Division of the US Army; indeed he lost an eye in combat against the Japanese. Thus the man was an honest-to-gosh war hero and to a small boy he ranked right up there with Sparticus, Superman, and John freakin Wayne. But in actuality he was utterly boring on that front, as he steadfastly refused to glorify his quite glorifiable exploits to an impressionable youth. Instead, he introduced me to a host of other heroes he felt more worthy of juvenile adulation through a steady diet of literary sources as varied as he could manage.
You see …reading was our commonality, our touchstone.
I woke early every morning, usually around 4 or 4:30, and watched to see his study light come on. The moment it did - I was headed that way. No knock on the back door. Just breeze right in, say “Good morning Mr. Wheeler” and take a spot on the floor at the foot of his chair – the only one in the room; a room filled with books on theology, history, politics, the military, and a great medley of miscellaneous topics.
There was always a book or magazine he had set aside with me in mind. The admonition accompanying the text to be read was pretty standard: “Lay down there and read this, and then tell me about what you read.” I was only too eager to comply.
Mr. Wheeler read his Bible, or whatever other book was to his taste, and I read there on the floor. This was a ritual repeated for many years with the frequency of three to four mornings a week. With no distractions in the form of other youngsters, I was left free to devour the library that was Mr. Wheeler’s home. On rainy days, cold days, or just about any boring Sunday afternoon the woods and fields might lose their allure to the pull of Mr. Wheeler’s back porch where there was to be found 60 years of National Geographic - or 50 years of Reader’s Digest.
I have ever been the voracious reader, and I trace the habit squarely back to the encouragement by an old man to a young boy.
Mr. Wheeler was a devout Christian, but not merely the talking kind, He was the doing kind. He was without a doubt the hardest working retiree I ever saw. Yet his efforts weren’t expended in the quest of mammon, but in the assistance of others – of people in need. There was always some old lady’s clothes line that needed fixing, or someone in need of a ride somewhere – to a doctor’s office maybe. He abhorred laziness, wastefulness, and dishonesty. His was a frugal existence, determined as much by choice as by financial circumstance. A part-time job as a food warehouse “bug man”, and a disability check in exchange for an eye, produced a thrifty old gent who naturally eschewed eating to excess. Though if invited (or even if not) to a neighbor’s table, he could certainly bring himself to eat with gusto. By religious conviction he abstained utterly from alcohol and tobacco.
I never recall seeing him lose him temper. His grandson Robert, who is today a dear friend of mine, would dispute this. But Robert’s personality being what it is (Hey Robert!) it’s no wonder he can more easily remember Mr. Wheeler getting angry. I do recall one angry episode when I was a small boy. I kicked his dog – for no reason that I can remember. I just kicked him. And Mr. Wheeler for the only time I can ever recall, yelled at me. Lord knows…the time I dug up his entire yard looking for buried treasure; you’d think he would have gotten mad then. But he didn’t. He just insisted I go fill in all the holes. Neither did he get mad when he found me rooting through all his wartime memorabilia that was in a large chest in his garage.
Not to infer that Mr. Wheeler was without his faults. He’d be the first to tell you that no one on earth is perfect. Mr. Wheeler’s only fault was that he was tight with a dollar. And if the truth of it were told, I expect that was because his money came very hard in life. So there was a natural tendency towards thrift. His “thrifty” ways led to the only occasion where I got mad at him, but it taught me a valuable lesson about doing business that I never forgot.
There was a hedge that grew along the back property line of his yard, and it had been allowed to grow to gargantuan heights – completely untrimmed and lacking shape of any sort. If memory serves, that thing was probably twenty feet high. Mr. Wheeler asked me one Saturday morning if I would cut it all down and drag the cuttings down into the field behind the house; there to dry out and be burned in the Fall. He said he would pay me for the job, and I took it on faith that I would be paid a fair wage. But foolishly I didn’t settle on the price beforehand. Bad move on MY part!
The job was hot and hard and I cultivated a wealth of blisters on both hands with axe and clippers. I worked my tail off and the job took the preponderance of the day to finish. But late in the afternoon with the hedge cut down to near ground level, and a veritable mountain-sized brush pile awaiting the burning season, I presented myself to Mr. Wheeler for payment. I was very proud of the job I did for him, and as it turns out he was proud too. The praise he bestowed on me was lavish – the pay was a bit less so. I extended my hand with a grin, and drew it back with a frown. It seems my sense of price and his (being a depression era man) were far apart. I was looking for pictures of dead presidents on green paper. Instead I got three shiny new quarters. Oh the outrage! But I loved the old man too much to let him know I was disappointed. It drilled into my brain the resolution however to never agree to do work without resolving the price beforehand; for anyone!
When my mother outlived my father by eleven years, Mr. Wheeler was right next door for seven of those years as a great help to an aging lady in poor health. I lived twenty miles away much of that time, and my relationship with Mama was a rocky one at best. So there were innumerable times that Mr. Wheeler’s council delivered at the precise time helped to salve the relationship between my mother and me. He was one of the few people my headstrong and domineering mother would actually listen to. And if you knew my mother, you’d know how monumental a statement that really is.
His unexpected death hurt her almost as much as the death of my father.
As I mentioned before, his lifestyle was frugality defined; never did he eat to excess, and never even once did he imbibe alcohol or make use of any sort of tobacco. Even into his seventies he was the picture of health. You never saw him ill or even feeling under the weather.
In 1993 there came a period where he felt out of sorts. I expect that few people around him knew that was the case. Having grown up around older people I am well acquainted with their propensity to discuss their various maladies and ailments. But Mr. Wheeler wasn’t your typical oldster by any measure, and I am confident that few knew he was feeling bad.
He went to his doctor’s office, and while there he collapsed and died suddenly of a massive heart attack. He was seventy-four years of age. The memory of the news of his death brings tears to eyes as readily now as it did that same day. I loved him as much as I loved my own father, and I count myself lucky to have known him for so many years.
His funeral was well attended. I believe there must have been nearly a thousand people there to pay respects to an old “bug man”, warrior, grandfather, and servant of God. Being allowed to speak at his funeral was something I am so very proud of, that I count that occasion among the most memorable of my entire life. The Bible verse I quoted at the funeral was Job 19:25-26. It is perhaps my favorite verse in the whole Bible.
“For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: and though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh I shall see God.”
If ever there was a flesh and blood man that has looked upon the face of Almighty God, it is my friend Robert F. Wheeler.
Barack Obama: "In some countries a single-payer health care system 'works pretty well.'"
Media: "What countries?"
White House: “We’re not really sure.”
Just imagine Bush or any previous republican president trying to bluff his way through like that.
What a sad sick joke this administration is. And the joke’s on us!
In 1979 a mysterious man, with a requirement for strictest secrecy, commissions a bizarre monument at no small cost to be built in the middle of a large field in rural Georgia.
Its message of new age globalism is written in eight different languages and etched into 20 ton blocks of the hardest granite.
Line number one reads MAINTAIN HUMANITY UNDER 500,000,000 IN PERPETUAL BALANCE WITH NATURE. (Today that would require 90% of the world’s population to disappear!)
Pardon the pun, but it serves as rock-solid proof of powerful forces that exist with the goal of one-world government.
Be sure to read the article.
They sent some to Bermuda. Check out how these four "former" terrorists are living it up!
And in the process they managed to thoroughly piss off Great Britain. Nobody thought apparently that it was worth discussing with our oldest ally...who just happens to own Bermuda.
What a pack of stupid asses running our government!
Excuse me while I fantasize a moment over visions of Tennessee state police arresting ATF and FBI agents!
You will NOT read about this in the NYT, nor will you see it mentioned on MSNBC. So get your ass over to Sipsey Street and let Mike Vanderboegh give you all the details.
Let me clarify: There are two basic kinds of laws in this world, laws that address things we know truly are wrong in and of themselves. I believe it is called mala en se in Latin. Then there’s the whole ridiculous mountain of crap that first was fostered in the mind of government bureaucrats both large and small. This category of “law” known as mala prohibita describes all the petty regulations that someone somewhere just decided is wrong.
Speed limits are mala prohibita. Tax laws are mala prohibita. Fish and wildlife laws are mala prohibita.
Now…lest someone’s tender sensitivities are offended, let me further clarify that I am not suggesting that there is no value to found in any of the myriad of petty regulations encircling us, stifling us, enslaving us. Au contraire…I think some tiny amount of it has a place. I think there ought to be an established deer hunting season, and limits on how many fish to catch. But for violating these laws I strongly believe that the response should NOT be to seize your truck, or your boat.
Is my reader aware that RICO statutes (originally designed to address organized crime) have been extended to include the guy who kills a deer out of season – allowing the gubmint thieves to steal, under color of law, his truck and gun? That’s right, the woods are full of deer to such extent that they constitute a safety problem for drivers in many states, but kill one on the wrong date and you could lose your $25,000 truck and your $1,000 rifle!
Where’s Robin Hood when you need him? I seem to recall he had some problems derived from killing the King’s deer.
My oldest son and I were on a hunting club yesterday for the purpose to scouting the property and selecting some locations for further more detailed attention. The heat, the mosquitoes, and the river being out of its banks forced us to put aside our primary agenda. Instead we elected to do some shooting at a spot the club manager had told me was suitable for such pursuits.
Shortly after we started shooting a guy drove up and got out of his car. He was shoeless and shirtless and clearly unarmed and unprepared to do anything other than converse. About two seconds after he opened his mouth I found he was unprepared for serious conversation as well. I had before me a prime specimen of Snitchus Americanus. Even though the fool had come through a locked gate to be here, it apparently didn’t dawn on him that I too had come through a locked gate, thus providing evidence of my bona fides to be here.
“I’m a member of XXX hunting club.” Says I
“Oh ...okay…well I caught someone in here last week who was hunting turkeys out of season, and I called Fish & Game, but they were gone by the time the officer arrived” says the snitch.
I am sure that the gubmint agents wearing F&W uniforms in that region are pleased to know that they have an unpaid and willing informant on ready-standby to help funnel new "suspects" into the state’s “justice” machine.
Without revealing my disgust at such behavior, I engaged in the obligatory small talk necessary for Snitch to determine that I was no threat to the King’s deer, and then be on his way. But I’ve marked him as the squealer he is, and I’ll be on the lookout for him in the future.
This is the kind of behavior that will be prized and doubtlessly rewarded under the current socialist regime. Just as the Stalin and Mao regimes encouraged neighbor to rat out neighbor, and children to rat out parents, so our citizens are barraged with prompts both subtle and not so subtle to turn in their fellow citizens for infractions of mala prohibita. After all, as Boston Tea Party maintains, “the state needs bodies”. And if there was no more crime, what would all those law enforcement and justice officials do for a paycheck?

These are rhetorical questions of course. I already KNOW why. The government is extending its search for power inside our heads. We're busy galloping towards the society Orwell envisioned when he wrote 1984.
By JIM ABRAMS, Associated Press Writer Jim Abrams, Associated Press Writer – 23 mins ago
WASHINGTON – Congress struck the government's strongest anti-smoking blow in decades Thursday with a Senate vote to give regulators new power to limit nicotine in cigarettes, drastically curtail ads and ban candied tobacco products aimed at young people.
Cigarette foes say the changes could cut into the 400,000 deaths every year caused by smoking and reduce the $100 billion in annual health care costs linked to tobacco.
And for some reason I began to think along the lines of how the left would respond to arguments that we should leave smokers alone. I DO think we should leave smokers alone actually, but my point is the response from the left.
They would argue that we are saving some of those 400,000 people who die from cancer, and indeed we probably would. But in the back of my mind I am thinking of the left's reponse when we pro-lifers argue against their holy sacrament of abortion.
"Those children are often unwanted and uncared for and we shouldn't bring them into the world!"
Maybe we should argue that smokers are largely unwanted and uncared for, and we should let 'em go ahead and poison themselves!
Let it be clearly understood that a) I'm not a smoker, but b) I abhor the anti-smoker bias that our culture has adopted these days. If you want to smoke (as long as I'm not forced to smell it - like on a plane) then go right ahead.
There is a trend these days among the police to use tasers against anyone who does not immediately do whatever the cop demands. Argue back? Get tasered. Demand your rights be respected? Get tasered. Having a seizure? Get tazed. Don’t jump high enough, or squat low enough, and the cop takes out his cattle probe and gives you a little attitude adjustment.
It doesn’t matter if you’re eight or eighty, cops are using tasers not as they were intended, as a substitute for deadly force, but as a general do-as-I-say enforcement tool. And in cases where public outrage forces the authorities to grudgingly conduct a mock inquiry, invariably the department (which is merely investigating itself!) comes back with a determination that “the officer was within department guidelines”; no harm - no foul. And the low ranking tyrant is encouraged to do it again to someone else.
There are two websites that consistently monitor police misconduct: The War on Guns by David Codrea, and Pro Libertate by Will Grigg. I urge everyone reading this to start paying attention to incidents of police thuggery, and resist the temptation (from years of indoctrination) to support the police no matter what.
Here’s an example where a Texas cop tasers a 72 year old woman – because she doesn’t bow down and become sheep-like in demeanor. The sites I’ve listed above detail behavior like this from every corner of the nation.
Here's another example: How about a cop that tasers and then shoots a small boy's Chihuahua!
Friends, our forefathers deeply feared a standing army and the oppression it would bring. Well the standing army we are saddled with today - has badges. And they are every bit as tyrannical as anything ole King George could have ever dreamed of.
“Choice” is what a woman has before she chooses to lie down and spread her legs. I don’t accept the argument about rape or incest justifying abortion for the simple reason that the child should not be held accountable for the adult’s actions. There are legions of people willing to adopt, so let the child have its chance at life.
I believe that life begins at conception. It matters not to me whether that little embryo isn’t viable outside of the womb. What matters is that it’s alive.
People of this age have raised selfishness to a high art, and have used personal convenience to justify the killing of unborn children. Sex, although fun, is functionally for the purpose of reproduction. So wear a condom, take birth control pills…whatever! But in the event of “failure” the recourse should not be embryonic infanticide.
So-called doctors who took the Hippocratic oath must surely be doing some real mental gymnastics in order to justify to killing of a child. Legally I believe that physicians should face loss of their license for performing abortions. Woman who seek abortions should face social stigma – nothing more. Government should stay out of the entire affair. Roe V. Wade should be repealed and all laws pertaining to abortions be declared null and void. And then, if a woman takes it upon herself to risk her life in order to be rid of the child she conceived, then the risk is hers and hers alone.
It is my understanding that there have been 40,000,000 abortions performed in this country since 1974. That is a hideous crime against humanity in my view. I believe there is an Almighty God that holds both individuals and nations accountable for their conduct. No one can convince me otherwise.
It’s common for the God-haters out there to point out the OT passages where God commanded the Israelites to utterly destroy the Canaanites, and they use that as justification to say that God is not a loving God. Very few of those same people have taken the time to learn WHY God levied such a terrible judgment on the inhabitants of Canaan. The answer is simple. They had a nasty habit of slaughtering their children as sacrifices to the gods, Baal or Molech. In the case of Molech, they had a bronze statue with the body of a man and the head of a beast, and in its hands it held a bronze bowl. A fire would be built underneath the bowl and it allowed to heat until it glowed red hot. Then the child would be dropped naked into that red hot metal bowl.
It is too horrible to contemplate.
But is it any more hideous than invading the womb with a suction device, and then sucking out the broken pieces of what was intended to be a human child?
All I can say is: May God forgive this nation for its wickedness.
Dear President Obama:
You are the thirteenth President under whom I have lived and unlike any of the others, you truly scare me.
You scare me because after months of exposure, I know nothing about you.
You scare me because I do not know how you paid for your expensive Ivy League education and your upscale lifestyle and housing with no visible signs of support.
You scare me because you did not spend the formative years of youth growing up in America and culturally you are not an American.
You scare me because you have never run a company or met a payroll.
You scare me because you have never had military experience, thus don't understand it at its core.
You scare me because you lack humility and 'class', always blaming others.
You scare me because for over half your life you have aligned yourself with radical extremists who hate America and you refuse to publicly denounce these radicals who wish to see America fail.
You scare me because you are a cheerleader for the 'blame America' crowd and deliver this message abroad.
You scare me because you want to change America to a European style country where the government sector dominates instead of the private sector.
You scare me because you want to replace our health care system with a government controlled one.
You scare me because you prefer 'wind mills' to responsibly capitalizing on our own vast oil, coal and shale reserves.
You scare me because you want to kill the American capitalist goose that lays the golden egg which provides the highest standard of living in the world.
You scare me because you have begun to use 'extortion' tactics against certain banks and corporations.
You scare me because your own political party shrinks from challenging you on your wild and irresponsible spending proposals.
You scare me because you will not openly listen to or even consider opposing points of view from intelligent people.
You scare me because you falsely believe that you are both omnipotent and omniscient.
You scare me because the media gives you a free pass on everything you do.
You scare me because you demonize and want to silence the Limbaughs, Hannitys, O'Relllys and Becks who offer opposing, conservative points of view.
You scare me because you prefer controlling over governing.
Finally, you scare me because if you serve a second term I will probably not feel safe in writing a similar letter in 8 years.
Signed, Lou Pritchett

“Muslims have enriched the U.S. and have won Nobel prizes.”
Given that much of PrezBo’s theme revolved around trying to equate the Arabs and Jews with one another, it’s only fair then to examine closely the above bit of nonsense.

Not much comparison is there? When you spend so much time and energy studying hatred for the Jews, it doesn't leave much time for anything else!
My source for this post is Atlas Shrugs. Be sure to visit his post on this speech, and see how thoroughly he deconstructs the many falicies and outright lies it contains.
I see where David Carradine was found dead this week. I always enjoyed the old TV show Kung Fu. But unlike many Americans, I have resisted the tendency to deify various celebrities.
My wife and I were discussing this phenomenon in a conversation about Princess Diana recently, and I noted the frequency with which she said she liked this one, or disliked that one. I pointed out that the person you THINK you know is seldom the real person. After all, in the case of actors, you the fan only have exposure to the person’s assumed identity in the various characters they’ve played. So it’s really pointless to glom onto some celebrity and decide that you like them. YOU DON’T KNOW THEM!
Americans have really gone over the edge where celebrities are concerned. Do a Google search on Paris Hilton and Patrick Henry; then note the vast difference in the number of hits. Celebrity worship (and professional sports) serves as a major distraction from issues of serious consequence. Huge numbers of Americans know the intricate details of their favorite movie star’s life, and at the same time are totally ignorant of what their congressman is up to – or even who their congressman is!
As this all relates to David Carradine, it’s interesting to note he was found with a rope around his neck AND the other end tied to his pecker. I guess it’s safe to assume that he came and went at the same time. He, like so many people, had a fascination with his genitalia; and it turned out to be a fatal fascination at that!
Not that I wish ill upon the man – don’t misinterpret this comment: But this kind of incident serves to show that celebrities are human too. Not that it will in any way diminish the star worshiper’s overall fervor. People will continue to put these “stars” on a pedestal, and stars will continue to fall off that pedestal and bust their ass.
Good Night Grasshopper. I hope it was worth it.
I am more and more convinced that the little bit of freedom remaining in this country is going to be snuffed out. Listening to his royal highness, King Obama, give his speech to the Egyptians I was hearing a leader who is ready to kiss the backside of ANYBODY out there, except white Christian conservatives. American sovereignty is seriously endangered. The entire Constitution is being ignored at best, or even treated as a joke. All it's going to take is some UN treaty that mandates civilian disarmament (for the children!) and the Obama camp will leap to sign it!
Ammo is expensive and it's NOT going to get any cheaper. Time is running out. In my humble opinion you need to make an effort to ensure that you know how to use those guns you've got stashed away. There may come a time in the very near future when firing a gun will become very difficult.
